Esker Advent Retreat: “The meaning of Advent”, Nov. 30th – Dec. 2nd. The talks are aimed at preparing for Christmas but also reflections on what is core to our understanding of the birth of Jesus of Nazareth & its meaning for our lives today.

Choir Workshop for parishes of our Cluster in Pastoral Centre Charlestown on Thurs. Nov. 29th at 7.30pm. Choir members and all interested in church singing are welcome.
Defibrillator: The Carracastle AED Group are seeking donations for the upkeep of the Defibrillator. This is a very important piece of equipment for the Community.  If you wish to donate please use the envelopes provided at the Church doors & place in collection basket.  Thank you to those of you who have already donated.
Garda News:  Due to the increase in burglaries around the country,  Gardai in Mayo are holding a Home Security Exhibition on Saturday 24th Nov. from 10am – 5pm at the Park Hotel, Kiltimagh. There will be a number of security companies & security experts under the same roof with a total range of products on show to the public. Everybody with an interest in Home Security are invited to attend this exhibition.  Entry is free & proceeds raised will go towards Mayo/Roscommon Hospice. Cookery Demo:  Charlestown Swimming Pool Committee present a cookery demonstration by award winning chef Anthony Kelly (of the Riverside Restaurant, Charlestown) in the Park Hotel, Kiltimagh on Monday, Nov 26th at 8pm.Tickets are just €10 each – text or call 086 232 0429, or call in to the Enterprise Centre in Airport Road during office hours. The evening includes food tasting, raffle prizes and there will be exclusive deals available on celebration cakes, holiday centrepieces, kitchenware & gadgets, seasonal table decor and Christmas crafts and gifts. This promises to be an entertaining evening, with all money raised going to Charlestown Swimming Pool funds.

Capacity Building Training for Community and Voluntary Groups is aimed at supporting activists in Community groups or Committees e.g. Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer to better develop their role, function & responsibilities.  Mayo North East intends to provide free Capacity Building training at 7.00pm on Wed 4th Dec in the Gateway Hotel, Swinford.
