Catholic Schools' Week has been celebrated in Ireland over the past 5 years & it will be celebrated again this year from Sunday, 25 January to Sunday, 1 February, inclusive. The theme chosen for the year 2015 is: Catholic Schools: Called to Serve. Our Catholic schools, both Primary & at Secondary level, make a vital contribution to the lives of the children & young people of our parishes & communities throughout the diocese. The schools are central to the work of the Church & to the mission of Jesus in our day. As a faith community, we are deeply grateful for the extraordinary service being rendered in our Catholic schools by teachers & other staff members, & also by Boards of Management & Parents' Councils/Associations.
The Annual Mass with Bishop Kelly will take place in the Church of St. Michael in Foxford on Tuesday, 27 January at 7pm. All are welcome, but especially those involved in any way in our school communities, now or in the past: Parents, families,teachers & other staff, pupils & Boards of Management. Refreshments afterwards.
Grandparents Day – Prayer gathering in honour of 'Grandparents Day' will take place in Scoil Iosa on Thursday 29th Jan. at 11am to celebrate and pay tribute to Grandparents as part of Catholic Schools Week. All grandparents welcome. Refreshments will be served.

Carracastle Tractor/Car/Bike Fundraising Run - A meeting will take place in Davys on this Wed. night Jan. 28th at 8pm to make plans to organise this event for Easter Monday. Lots of volunteers will be needed so please make an effort to attend the meeting.
Charlestown Athletic FC AGM on Sun. Feb.1st 7pm in the Pastoral Centre, Charlestown. Swinford Men's Shed meeting on Thursday 29th at 7pm in the Gateway Hotel. All interested are welcome to come and see.
