Tony & Bernie Towey Perpetual Cupcompetition will take place in the Brusna Inn on Friday 27th Sept., commencing at 9:30pm.The Quick Step, Old Time Waltz & Slow Waltz will be the order of the night for couples willing to participate. It is anticipated that a large crowd will once again attend & indeed take part in what promises to be a memorable night. As well as the Perpetual Cup, there will also be plaques for 2nd & 3rd. Mucic by Mary Rose & Enda. Adm €5 which also includes raffle tickets.

The Carers Association have organised a public meeting on Thursday, 26th September from 8.30 - 10.00pm in the TF Royal Hotel where they will present their PreBudget Submission and assess the impact austerity budgets have had on family carers.  Public representatives, family carers, media personnel, and the general public are invited.

Roscommon LEADER Partnership (Warmer Homes) & Sustainable Energy Authority Ireland (SEAI) are delivering energy efficiency installations throughout the county of Roscommon, East Galway & Offaly. These installations consist of attic installation, cavity wall installations & energy advice to new applicants (who have not previously received Warmer Homes work in their home). By installing these measures you can improve the energy efficieny & therefore reduce your fuel bills. To qualify for the scheme, householders who are in receipt of fuel allowance or are on the Family Incom Support (FIS), or Jobseekers Allowance (for more than 6 months & with a child or children under 7 yrs of age); are owner occupier; & home has been constructed prior to 2005, will qualify for the scheme, which is at no cost to the home owner.
