Christmas Youth Retreat: Youth 2000 Ireland will be holding their annual Christmas youth retreat in Newbridge College, Co. Kildare from Fri. 14th Sun. 16th Dec. 2012. Over 500 young people aged 16-35 are expected to attend this donation only event, with all newcomers welcome. The weekend consists of an action packed programme including prayer, workshops, drams, inspirational talks, testimonies, music, games & chill out time. It's a great opportunity to learn more about your Catholic faith & to meet other young people. Please book on line if you are intereted & bring a sleeping bag if you wish to avail of on-site accommodation. All are welcome to attend at any time over the weekend. Distribution Of Holy Communion: There is now a break in the seats and two aisles along church walls in the nave of Carracastle Church. At Communion time it is requested that those seated above the break process up the centre aisle to the Sanctuary area to receive, go around three seats at top and return by side aisle along church wall. Those in seats nearest to main door and standing in that area are requested to process up central aisle to break area to receive and return by side aisle along church wall. Thanking you for your co-operation.
The Light is On For You — On Sunday December 23rd, Carracastle and all the parishes of St Joseph’s Parish Cluster (Bohola, Carracastle, Charlestown, Kilmovee, Kiltimagh and Swinford) will be open for individual confession between 5pm and 6pm. There will be priests available in every church in our Cluster area, - Bohola, Carracastle, Rooskey, Bushfield, Charlestown, Urlaur, Glann, Kilkelly, Kilmovee, Kiltimagh, Meelick, Midfield and Swinford. All monies raised will go to the running of the Community Center, Raffle and Prizes on the night.
Defibrillator: The Carracastle AED Group are seeking donations for the upkeep of the Defibrillator. This is a very important piece of equipment for the Community. Envelopes are provided at the Church doors & place in collection basket. Thank you for donations received.
