Confirmation: Congratulations to the fifteen young people who were confirmed this Saturday April 11th.Thank you to Bishop Brendan Kelly for confering the Sacrament, to their parents/guardians,families & sponsors, to their teacher Michael Bracken for preparing them, to the principal, Mrs Maloney, and to all the staff connected to Scoil Iosa for all their help with the preparation in the Church, the flowers, the booklets, music & choir, to the Parents Association, to our Sacristan Rita, to Margaret for words of welcome as Secretary of Parish Pastoral Council, to Johnny for attending to the church grounds and to all on the various schemes for all their help.
Annual Dublin-Achonry Pilgrimage takes place on Sunday 19th May 2013 at Knock Shrine. Anointing of the Sick at 2.30pm. Mass begins at 3pm. It is hoped that many parishioners from each parish will attend as we continue to celebrate the Year of Faith.

Summer Festival in Charlestown: Organisers are meeting next on Wed, May 15th, at 9pm in Charlestown Arts Centre & would welcome input from anyone who would like to be involved.
Mayo/Roscommon Hospice gratefully acknowledges all the support received in Carracastle in 2012. A total of €2,487.04 was raised. It is hoped again this year to organise a walk/run/cycle for heritage week at the end of August. More details later.
A training workshop for Community Groups on “How to Make Leverage Funding Applications” will be held on Thurs May 23rd 2013 from 6.30pm – 9.30pm in The Ballyhaunis Family Resource Centre.
