Church Painting: The interior of Carracastle Church has been given a new look during the past week.  Thank you to the painters for doing such a professional & efficient job. Thanks also  to all who helped in choosing the colour scheme and to Foroige and all those involved in the post painting clean up. Well done to one and all.  Please note that the 2 windows at the back which had been previously curtained off have now  been fitted with clear glass to prevent draughts from the Gallery entering the main body of the Church.
Carracastle Community Alert are finalizing the list of names & numbers for inclusion in the text alert scheme, anyone still interested please give your details to any member of the committee.  The forms are still available for inclusion in the seniors alert pendent scheme please contact any member of the committee.  Next meeting on April 22nd in the Community Centre at 8pm.

Swinford Swimming Club – Aras Attracta (Lessons and Public Sessions):  A meeting has been arranged for Thursday 18th April 2013 in the Gateway Hotel, Swinford to set up a Swimming Club for Swinford and surrounding areas. The aim is to promote swimming as a sport and leisure activity by providing lessons and public sessions for both children and adults in the Aras Attracta pool. The meeting will commence at 8pm and all are welcome.

Personal Best Programme: This eight-week (one day per week) training course for unemployed people will commence in Swinford on Monday April 22nd from 10.30 am to 12.30pm. The course covers topics such as exploring self esteem, stress management, motivation skills, embracing change and setting realistic goals which will help you reach your personal best in 2013. Charlestown 8km Walk/Run/Jog on this Sunday 14th April at 2pm.  €10 per participant, under 12's go free.  Registration taken from 12:30pm at Happy Feet Creche & Preschool on the day. Raffle & refreshments back at Happy Feet Creche afterwards. Proceeds to benefit the community creche and preschool.
