Lough Derg One Day Retreats recommence on 17th August. A guided day of prayer, reflection and renewal. The morning includes Rosary and Way of the Cross as well as Prayers of Intercession and Healing of Memories. The afternoon offers an opportunity for quiet time & personal prayer and concludes with the celebration of Eucharist.There are places available on:- August: 17, 18, 19, 20, 24, 25, 26, 27, 31. September: 1, 3, 7, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, 17, 21, 22, 23. Well recognised as a Sanctuary – a safe place Lough Derg offers a ‘Living With Suicide’ Workshop on Wednesday 25th September. This day is for adults who have been affected by suicide, either through personal loss or with suicidal ideation, or for those ministering to the suicide bereaved or working in support services. Barnardos Ireland's leading children's charity is recruiting for Volunteer Coordinators and Volunteer Collectors for their National Collection Day taking place on Fri., 25th Oct. in the Tesco Stores in Co Mayo - Ballina, Ballinrobe, Castlebar, Claremorris, Swinford & Westport. The role of the Volunteer Coordinator is to take overall responsibility for the National collection day in one of the Tesco Stores (in liaison with Barnardos Volunteer Support & Community Engagement Service).The role of the Volunteer Collector is to collect money on the day at one of the Tesco Stores during an agreed 2½ hour time slot.
