Your prayers please for Liam Hennigan, who has died in England, he lived in Castleduff between 1999 & 2004, sympathy to his wife Lily & family; Jackie Hunt, Leeds/Corby who died on 12th April, son of Jim Hunt formerly of Brackloonagh North & Winnie (nee Callaghan) formerly of Rooskey.  His cousin Fr. Des Hunt will celebrate Mass in his memory in Rooskey Church during August Bank Holiday;  Ellen Caulfield, Currina. Mayo Cancer Support, Rock Rose House, 0949038407, are organising a Gathering of Cancer Survivors to take place in the Travellers Friend Hotel on Friday 26th April from 6 to 9pm. FETAC Level 5 course in Commercial Horticulture: FAS in conjunction with National Learning Network, Castlerea are inviting applications for places on the FETAC Level 5 course in Commercial Horticulture based in Castlerea. The Programme is targeted primarily but not exclusively at persons aged 16 to 34 years who are currently unemployed. A Care Skills Course will commence in Swinford on Wednesday 22nd May. Modules include FETAC level 5 Care of the Older Person, Care Skills and Work Experience, also Patient Moving & Handling, and Irish Heart Heartsaver CPR with AED. The course will equip individuals with the skills necessary to secure employment in a variety of care settings. The course is free and numbers are limited. Lough Derg Pilgrimages: The traditional three day pilgrimage takes place between 31st May until 15th August.  Boats between 11am & 3pm daily until 13th August.  Price €70 includes boat, accommodation, services & Lough Derg meals.  One Day Retreats  are on dates between 4th & 27th May;  17th & 31st August;  1st & 23rd September.
