Lough Derg One Day Retreats continues. A guided day of prayer, reflection and renewal. The morning includes Rosary and Way of the Cross as well as Prayers of Intercession and Healing of Memories. The afternoon offers an opportunity for quiet time & personal prayer and concludes with the celebration of Eucharist.There are places available on:- August: 25, 26, 27, 31. September: 1, 3, 7, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, 17, 21, 22, 23. Well recognised as a Sanctuary – a safe place Lough Derg offers a ‘Living With Suicide’ Workshop on Wednesday 25th September. This day is for adults who have been affected by suicide, either through personal loss or with suicidal ideation, or for those ministering to the suicide bereaved or working in support services. Irish Heart Foundation ChurchGate Collection will take place at both Churches on the weekend of 31st August & 1st September.
Used Clothes Collection on Wed. 28th Aug. between 9am & 12 midday at Carracastle Church carpark. All types of clean & dry Ladies, Gents & Children's Clothing.Household Textiles – Bed Linen, Curtains & Towels.Shoes – Ladies, Gents & Children's (tied together in separate bags please). This clothing collection is very important in helping raise much needed funds for the Education of the children in St. Augustines Parish, Kenya.Support would be appreciated.
World Suicide Prevention Day: A vigil will be held in the Garden of Remembrance, Market Street Ballaghaderreen on Tuesday 10th September @ 7:30pm followed by light refreshments in the Community Resource Centre. To remember our loved ones who have died by suicide, contemplated suicide or been affected by suicide.

EmployAbility Open Day Melting Pot Café, Stone Court, Roscommon, Wednesday 28th August, 10.30am – 3pm.
