Visits to the Sick & Housebound
for the month of October will be on the Wednesday afternoon Oct. 9th & also on Thursday & Friday Oct. 10th & 11th.
'Care for Life: Its worth it' - Professing our Faith in a Culture of Life' - Sunday October 6 next is the annual 'Day for Life'. As in recent years, a letter has been published by the Bishops' Conference for the day. The letter is entitled "Care for Life: It's worth it" (with the sub-title 'Professing our Faith in a Culture of Life') . Copies will available next weekend.
Carracastle Foróige Club: Registration night only Fri Oct 4th @8pm. Each young person wishing to register must be accompanied by Parent/Guardian. Fee €20 or €30 for two or more family members. Normal Club activities resume following Fri. if sufficient numbers register.
Servers Outing on Saturday October 12th to Mayo Leisure Point, Castlebar. Consent forms will be distributed during the week & please return by Friday Oct. 4th.
The Carers Association will be hosting its annual Currane Charity Challenge Sat 5th Oct to raise monies for Carers Services in Co Mayo. The Challenge includes 31 km cycle around the Currane Peninsula followed by 6 km hill climb. Participants can choose to complete all or part of the challenge. Annual Carer and Young Carer of the Year Awards: Would you like to honour a carer or a young carer (under 18) for the work that they do? The Carers Association is now accepting nominations for the annual Carer & Young Carer of the Year Awards. These awards are designed to highlight the hard work of family carers. Fashion Show will take place in Tibohine Community Hall on Fri. night, Oct. 4th @ 8pm. The following shops will be displaying their latest fashion: Siobhan's Fashion Scene, Charlestown, Beverly Hills Castlebar, Sartara Roscommon (formerly Wide Variety) & John Ward's  Menswear Roscommon. Challenges of Faith - You are invited to an open gathering on Saturday Oct 12th in the Ard
Ri Hotel, Tuam to look at 'The Challenges of  Faith'. It will start at 2p.m. Speakers include Fr. Pat Donnellan & Monica Morley, followed by open discussion. All are welcome

Anam Cara is holding its monthly parent evening on Wed. 2nd Oct.19:30 to 21:00 at The Ballybane Enterprise Centre, Galway. This event is free, open to all bereaved parents and each Anam Cara support group has a bereavement professional present to answer any questions parents may have and signpost them to other services that are available in the area.

Introduction to Computers: Mayo North East will commence an Introduction to Computers course in Swinford on Wed 16th Oct at 10.30am to 1.30 pm & each Wed for six weeks. Modules covered are  Microsoft Word, Internet Access and Email. A limited number of places are available & are free to unemployed people.
