Praying for the Diocese 2014: The parish of Keash & Culfadda is situated some 20 miles south of Sligo & 8 miles north west of Boyle. Some miles to the west lie the Slieve Gamph or Ox Mountains. The hills which start about 4 miles south of Collooney & remain low for another 5 miles rise to the distinctive limestone hill of Keashcorran, situated in the parish where a new Millennium Cross was erected in May 2000. Keash Church dedicated to St Kevin was built in 1809. It is one of the oldest churches still in use in the diocese. A beautiful Grotto dedicated to our Lady of Lourdes was erected in 1997 on the East side of the Church. Culfadda Church dedicated to Our Lady of the Holy Rosary was opened in 1959. There are 2 National Schools, one in Keash & one in Culfadda, two community centres & a wonderful football pitch. The Culfadda Show & Garland Sunday are wonderful occasions in the parish during summer. Fr Gabriel Murphy is the parish priest of Keash
