Safeguarding Children: The recently published updated Child Safeguarding Policy and Procedures will be officially launched on Tuesday, Nov. 13th at 8pm in the Yeats County Inn, Curry, Co. Sligo.  Bishop Kelly and the Safeguarding Committee would like to invite Parish Safeguarding Representatives, priests & parishioners to attend.

What in the World, now in its sixth series, has been reporting on human rights violations across the world for the past decade. In that time it has garnered a solid reputation for bringing seldom-heard stories of the oppressed & the dispossessed of the world to Irish audiences. It began on RTE One Television Tuesday last 30th Oct. at 11pm with a report on the on-going conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.  This is followed by a report on ten years of independence in Timor Leste (Tue. 6 Nov.); the logging industry in Honduras (Tues. 13 Nov.); & Ethopia thirty years after the 1984 famine (Tues. 20 Nov.)

Board of Management meeting in Scoil Iosa on this Monday evening 5th November at 8pm
Meant4more Catholic Men's Conference 2012 – on Saturday 24th Nov. 2012.  This is the third national conference, which is taking place at the Clarion Hotel, Liffey Valley, Dublin.  Guest speaker is Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers, a Catholic Pernament Deacon & a popular speaker at Men's Conferences.  The Papal Nuncio, Archbishop Charles Brown, will celebrate Mass.  Tickets €20.  Registration starts at 9am & the conference concludes at 5pm. David Parkes in concert in St. Celsus Church, Kilkelly on Friday. 16th Nov. at 8pm.  Tickets €15. A raffle will be held on the night & the 1st prize being a full package to Medjugorie.  Tickets are available from Health Centre, Charlestown, Imelda Toweys, Bllaghaderreen, Surlis Supervalu, Tubbercurry, The Community Centre in Kilmovee & all local shops & the Post Office in Kilkelly.
A Fun Quiz Night In Kennedys Doocastle on this Sat. Nov. 3rd at 9.30pm.  All support would be greatly apprevciated, in aid of the 2nd Annual Community Christmas Party. Table of four €40
Seisiún na nÓg will take place in Kilmovee Community Centre on this Sunday 4th November from 2pm-3:30pm. Comhaltas membership will also be taken up on the day . All welcome
Computer Course: Mayo North East are organising a basic computer course in Swinford starting on Wednesday 14th November and will run each consecutive Wednesday for five weeks from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
